Introduction
Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) is a 3-year full time degree program introduced by a number of institutes. University of Mumbai has introduced the Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) from the academic year 1999-2000. The BMS program is spread over 3 years consisting of 6 semesters, leading to a Bachelor Degree of Management Studies.
A BMS degree provides adequate basic understanding about management education among the students. Compare to a regular degree, BMS offers more of skill enhancement and practical knowledge besides theoretical understanding through a teaching pedagogy of case studies, projects, industrial visits, presentation, etc. which is similar to MBA.
Students planning to undertake BMS must have team-building qualities and should be able to communicate effectively. They should also have knowledge about the current affairs and the stock market. Students learn to critically analyses situations and to solve the complexities of management.
BMS graduates have a slight edge over other as they have better exposure and knowledge of the world.
Eligibility :
12th Pass( any stream )
- A candidate for being eligible for admission to the B.M.S. Degree Course shall have passed H.S.C. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years duration after S.S.C. conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination by securing minimum 45% marks for general category (in one attempt) at the respective Examination and minimum 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt).
- Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the affiliated colleges conducting the course shall have to register enroll himself/herself with the University
Duration :

The course shall be a full time course. The duration of the course shall be six semesters spread over in three years.

A Batch shall consist of 60 students and will increase by 20% after permission from MU.

The course shall consist of 39 subjects + 1 Project.

The Total number of lectures per subject per semester (Subject) shall be maximum of 60 lectures each of 50 minutes duration.
