Introduction
The Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance (BAF) is a dynamic undergraduate program crafted for students aspiring to build a strong career in the financial world. Launched by the University of Mumbai in 2003-04, this three-year, six-semester course bridges academic knowledge with professional practice.
The BAF program focuses on equipping students with a deep understanding of accounting principles, taxation systems, auditing processes, financial analysis, and business laws. Along with core subjects, the course emphasizes the development of critical thinking, effective communication, and technical skills necessary for today’s finance professionals.

Eligibility :
12th Pass( any stream )
- A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt (40% in case of reserved category).
- Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the affiliated colleges conducting the course shall have to register enroll himself/herself with the University
Duration :
The course shall be a full time course. The duration of the course shall be six semesters spread over in three years.
A Batch shall consist of 60 students and will increase by 20% after permission from MU.
The course shall consist of 39 subjects + 1 Project.
The Total number of lectures per subject per semester (Subject) shall be maximum of 60 lectures each of 50 minutes duration.
