Introduction
Welcome to the Examination Department of Gurukul College !!!
The Examination Department, is an integral part of our college’s academic administration, manages and administers various examinations, including semester exams, mid-term exams, and other assessments, in compliance with the rules and regulations set by the college and University. We maintain a fair, transparent, and efficient examination process that ensures academic integrity and fosters a conducive learning environment for our students.
Experienced and qualified personnel head our department, working closely with faculty, students, and other administrative departments to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations. Our team handles tasks such as scheduling exams, setting question papers, arranging exam halls, invigilating, processing results, and maintaining records. We strive to adhere to the rules and regulations set by the college and the University, while also maintaining the confidentiality and security of examination materials and results.
Students, faculty, and other stakeholders can access important examination-related information through our comprehensive college website. This includes exam schedules, policies and procedures, results announcements, forms and documents, and other relevant updates. We also provide support and assistance to students regarding exam-related queries, grievances, and accommodations for students with special needs.
Continuous improvement and innovation in our examination processes are our priorities. We actively seek feedback from students and faculty to enhance the quality and efficiency of our services. Our aim is to conduct examinations in a transparent and unbiased manner, providing equal opportunities for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Scheme of Evaluation
The performance of the learners will be evaluated in two Components. One component will be the Internal Assessment component carrying 25% marks and the second component will be the Semester-wise End Examination component carrying 75% marks. The allocation of marks for the Internal Assessment and Semester End Examinations is shown in attached file.
ATKT (Allowed to keep term) - Commerce ( BMS / BBI / BAF / BFM)
Eligibility for Admission to Second Year
- If the Learner has cleared all the subjects in Semester-I and Semester-II
- If the Learner has failed in not more than two courses (Subjects) in each Sem-I and Sem-II.
Eligibility for Admission to Third Year
- If the Learner has cleared all the subjects in Semester-I, Semester-II, Semester-III and Semester-IV
- If the learner has cleared all the subjects Semester-I and Semester-II and fails in not more than two courses (Subjects) in each semester-III and Semester-IV.
- If the learner has cleared all the subjects in Semester-III and Semester-IV but still remains failed in not more than two courses (Subjects) in each semester-I and Semester-II
ATKT for Faculty of Science (B.Sc. IT / CS) is read as under:-
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester I.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she passed (grade ‘E’ or above in each course) each of Semester I and Semester II. OR He/she fails in not more than three course with not more than total 200 marks, in each of Semester I and Semester II. (For all Science programs, carrying less than total 900 marks).
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester III. However learner has to pass either of Semester I or Semester II in order to appear for Semester IV.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester V if he/she passes Semester I, Semester II, Semester III and Semester IV. OR Learner shall have passed Semester I and Semester II in full and secured ATKT in Second Year by failing in For programs with less than 900 marks in not more than Three Courses with not more than total 200 marks in each of Semester III &IV OR Learner shall have passed Semester III and Semester IV in full and secured ATKT in First Year by failing in, For programs with less than 900 marks in not more than Three Courses with not more than total 200 marks in each of Semester I & II.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester VI irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester V.
- The result of Semester VI shall be kept in abeyance until the learner passes each of Semester I, Semester II, Semester III, Semester IV and Semester V.
Provision for the additional Class Test / Semester End Examination:
A learner who does not appear i.e. remains absent for Class Test/ Semester End Examination in some or all the courses on medical grounds or for representing the college / university in sports, cultural activities, activities of NSS, NCC or Sports training camps conducted by recognized bodies/ competent authorities OR for any other reason which is considered valid under exceptional circumstances and to the satisfaction of the Principal or the Head of the Institution, is eligible to appear for the additional examination.
A learner who does not appear for both the Internal Assessment and Semester End Examination shall NOT be eligible to appear for the additional Semester End Examination.
Additional Examination for Class Test / Semester End Examination shall be conducted within 20 days from the completion of the respective examinations.
