Welcome to Gymkhana and Sports Department of our College .Over the years, Gurukul College has won laurels in Sports and Cultural activities besides always being in the forefront of academic achievements. Our college has a tradition of providing an all-round development for students, by making available facilities for sports and for cultural activities. The college has very good infrastructural facilities for sports and related extra-curricular activities, which have been developed and have thrived over the years. There have been additions to and renovations of these facilities from time to time, for indoor and outdoor games and also for the traditional Indian games.

The college sports department works in consultation with the sports committee comprising teachers and Physical Education Director. The sports committee plans sport schedule for each academic year. The college has a sports field for different games like kabaddi , Kho-kho, Cricket, Football and Volley ball, including a Indoor sports like Shuttle Badminton, Chess, Carrom, etc. are equally encouraged.

The sports department of the College has been organizing inter-collegiate tournaments in volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi and Throw ball for girls. Every year several students from the college are representing Mumbai University in various disciplines of sports. Teaching staff also take active part in sports activity, intercollegiate competitions in cricket and shuttle badminton.

The college has a healthy practice of giving priority to outstanding sport persons during admissions along with fee concessions. Being a prestigious institution in the city, there is a great demand for admission under sports quota and many outstanding sport persons have graduated from the college.
